Each necklace is designed, titled and assembled by Anna. The real magic in these necklaces are in the details. She spreads out nearly 300 beads and selects about 140 handmade polymer clay beads, vintage hand-carved, hand-painted wooden tropical birds, African glass, millifiori glass and hand blown glass beads.
It’s the unexpected combination of vibrant colors, materials and textures that makes these beads exciting to look at and wear. They are truly portable works of art!
Prices range from $68 to $125. (Prices are determined by expense or rarity of beads used and handcrafted beads.)

Anna says: "I wear my beads every day even if I am taking a walk or just stopping by the store. They look elegant and stunning with black, white or neutral colored outfits.  How wonderful these necklaces will look worn by women who are cheering on the performers at a concert or savoring hors d'oeuvres at a cocktail party or art opening."

Wyldsyde Jewelry Co. is a growing brand that is becoming best known for vibrant, one of a kind, beaded necklaces desired by youthful women of all ages. The woman who wears Wyldsyde is fun loving, on the go, unconventional, successful and a highly creative thinker.

Anna reveals: "I get much of my inspiration from African and Latino cultures, classic movies and vintage jewelry. I do most of my thinking and designing at my Josaphat Arts studio that is lively with vibrant paintings, sculptures and completed necklaces on the walls."

Local Cleveland Artist Anna Arnold Launches WyldSyde Jewelry Co.

Local Cleveland artist creates one of a kind beaded necklaces that make a daring fashion statement
CLEVELAND, OH - Artrepreneur Anna Arnold recently announced the opening of WyldSyde Jewelry Co., an online company that will feature a collection of unusually gorgeous, handcrafted beaded necklaces.
Following the success of Anna Arnold ART Studio in 2010, Anna said,  “The past year has been an exciting one of accomplishment for me as an artist with public murals and earning a Masters in Art Education.. It was time to open the beads shop because so many people stop me on the street to tell me how much they enjoy the beads and ask where they can buy them.

"Now collectors can discover new, one of a kind pieces at their leisure 24 hours a day from the website. Purchases can be made securely through Paypal and are shipped directly from my studio. These new jewelry creations are also economy friendly at $50 to $65 per strand.”

WyldSyde’s contemporary collection range from the bright, energizing “Tropicandi Treat” to the “Song of Africa” featuring hand carved, brass and glass trade beads from West Africa to the whimsical  “Bouffant Twins” featuring polymer clay faces.

The necklaces are made from an exciting mixture of mosaic turquoise, brass, polymer clay, lamp work glass beads and even exotic seeds from Indonesia.

Anna Arnold lives on the WyldSyde
Ask Anna Arnold about the purpose of life and she'll tell you definitively, her purpose is to create. She didn't have to ponder who or what to be; she is a natural born artist. While she spans the creative method horizon, her convictions about her calling initially lead her to painting as her chosen medium of expression. "Painting is immediate," says Arnold. And it fuels her.

Anna Arnold: Electric Expressionist
And fuel is what she needs, to power her creative spark. A self-described "electric expressionist," Arnold uses her crafts to generate life in the world around her.  As solid as she stands on her own God-given purpose, she asserts the same unshakeable insight into the purpose of art. "(Art) is to entertain, to inspire, to provoke thought, to touch the soul, to express what is difficult to talk about." If the world ever went abstract and had to eulogize Arnold's work, she wants people to say it was powerful and passionate, and emotional. She'd want it to be described as alive, and therefore immortal.

Born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio, Anna began to refine her innate artistic prowess at the Cleveland Institute of Art where she earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in video and drawing. Over time, she added large scale community murals, ceramics, small sculptures and jewelry making to her arsenal of visual stimulation. As diverse as her creative outlets may be, she says the creative process begins the same for all of them. Arnold quips, "I start out with the same idea, maybe a title or a little written sketch or a quick drawing.  (I ask) What's the theme? What are the colors? Then I like to gather all the materials I think I want to use." And just like that, in her mind, it's truly as easy as she makes it sound.

Being an unapologetic woman in the art community often presents its challenges.  Well aware of the issues that exist, Arnold says in comparison to some of the larger markets (like Los Angeles, Chicago and New York), Cleveland has been surprisingly supportive of her dream. A dream, that if she had it her way, would lead to "influencing people all over the world to buy art every single day, making art just as important as sports!"
Some of Anna's fondest projects have included the "How Sweet the Sound" mural commissioned by Verizon Wireless, the "Globe" at the downtown Cleveland Public Library, and painting 250 5x7 portraits of friends and family of Peter B. Lewis, as part of his birthday celebration. Of the projects, she says they all pushed her beyond her comfort zone and forced her to work on a larger scale.

Currently, you're likely to find Arnold stringing glass, metal, bone, and polymer clay beads together, as part of her WyldSyde Jewelry Company. If she's taking a break from accessories, she's undoubtedly planning the next community mural for summer and fall of 2011.

Just last year, Arnold also earned a Master's Degree from Case Western Reserve University in Art Education. She is working hard at developing her role as an art educator, and ensuring that Anna Arnold ART Studio becomes a trailblazing example of successful innovative art, design, and education company.
